Welcome to the Journey

Welcome to Globernaut

Most people want to travel. Not everyone knows how to make it happen without burning through their savings or falling into the usual tourist traps. That’s what this blog is here to help with.

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel often as a full-time student. I did it without staying in luxury hotels or spending thousands. It took a lot of digging, planning, and adjusting expectations, but it was worth it every time.

I started Globernaut because travel is often presented as either an elite luxury or some chaotic backpacking journey for only the most adventurous. This is somewhere in between. A space for people who want to relax on vacation, see cool things, and not go broke doing it.

A Little About Me

I travel whenever I can, and it’s by no means extravagant. For me, often that means finding the right deals, staying flexible, and knowing where it makes sense to spend a little more and where it doesn’t.

I’ve tried a bit of everything, cheap hotels, last minute flights, and long layovers that made sense on paper. Not every trip has been smooth, but each one taught me something useful.

I’m not pretending to be a full-time traveler or some expert nomad. I’m just someone who’s figured out a few things the hard way and decided it was time to write it all down.

What You Will Get From This Blog

This blog isn’t about how to quit your job and travel forever. It’s about how to take that trip you’ve been putting off and do it without spending more than you need to.

  • Flight hunting tips that save actual money
Not vague advice like “book on a Tuesday.” I’ll walk through how I find cheap flights using tools like Google Flights, Skyscanner, and flight trackers.

  • Breakdowns of places that are worth your time
Cities and regions that are underrated, affordable, and not completely overrun.

  • Planning around your priorities
Whether that’s food, adventure, or downtime, I’ll show you how to prioritize without overspending.

  • Things to know before you go
Visa requirements, scams to avoid, travel documents, and what to prep in advance.

Who This is For

Anyone! You don’t have to be a student like me to read this blog. That being said, it helps if you like to travel smart. Whether you’re planning your first big trip or just looking for ways to cut back on costs without sacrificing experience, the goal is to keep it all doable and low stress.

If you’ve ever scrolled through a travel post and thought, “Okay, but how did they afford that?” this blog is your kind of place.

What Comes Next?

I’ll be posting regularly. Expect city breakdowns, budget guides, planning tips, and practical advice from someone who’s been there.

No clickbait. No fluff. Just stuff I wish I had when I started.

I’m not here to tell you there’s one perfect way to travel. But I’ve learned that with the right tools and a little prep, you can see more of the world than you think, and spend less while doing it.

Thanks for reading. More to come!
